If one is applying to law school, what are some of the best job options out there?

I know a lot of people try to become paralegals or legal assistants at government agencies, law firms, etc.
But any experience working in a legal department looks pretty good for law school applications (given you have no law degree yet but will get hands-on exposure to the legal process for that company/team).
