All these firms are laying people off. Uber laid off 2000 employees. How the hell are we supposed to get a job in this market?

it really depends on the company. Some big tech giants (like Amazon) are still hiring a lot. So make sure you refocus and try to find some companies that are not slowing down or are not affected by Covid-19 as much as Uber/Lyft were. I agree with IceJuice, stay confident, and keep your skills sharp!

Hang tight, the freeze will end soon as things begin to open up and firms will rehire to meet growing demand. Just keep learning and developing your skillset.
